My 2.5-Year Bollywood DJ Journey in North Carolina: Desi Beats, Packed Clubs & Wedding Heat

Over the past 2.5 years, my journey as a Bollywood DJ in North Carolina has been nothing short of electric. What started as a passion for Desi music has evolved into a whirlwind of unforgettable weddings, high-energy birthday bashes, vibrant club nights, and more. From Raleigh to Charlotte to Durham, I’ve had the chance to bring people together on dance floors where culture, celebration, and music collide.

Weddings have been at the heart of this ride. From elegant baraats to full-on sangeet dance battles, I've had the honor of soundtracking love stories through Bollywood hits, Punjabi beats, and Telugu bangers. Whether it's mixing “Kala Chashma” into a couple’s grand entry or dropping a South Indian twist mid-reception, I pride myself on keeping every moment high-energy and culturally rich.

Private events have also been a huge part of my growth. I’ve spun for everything from 21st birthdays to Sweet 16s. No two events are ever the same. Whether it’s turning up the heat with new Bollywood dance anthems, throwing in nostalgic 2000s desi hits, or making aunties and uncles go wild with a bhangra throwback set, I love curating the vibe to match the occasion.

But it’s not just private events that have taken off. Over the last year especially, my club shows have exploded. I’ve done 15+ club nights and the dance floors have been packed out. Themed events have brought out the best in creativity. I’ve blended techno with Bollywood for trippy Desi fusion nights, teamed up with live dholis to elevate the energy, and brought open-format spice with high energy, bass pumping Bollywood mixes.

It’s been an amazing journey to see the Desi community here grow and come together through music. There’s no better feeling than watching hundreds of people from different backgrounds sing along to a Bollywood chorus or go full throttle when a hookstep hits just right.

The last 2.5 years have been a fire, but this is just the beginning. More cities, more states, and more unforgettable nights are coming. If you haven’t danced with me yet, I’ll see you on the next dance floor. Let’s make it legendary.
